GUWAHATI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Guwahati has issued a weather forecast predicting thunderstorm activity with lightning and moderate to intense spells of rain for Kamrup Metro.

This weather event is expected to impact isolated areas within the district towards the later half of the afternoon and evening of Friday, August 23.
The forecast states that most places in Assam will likely receive moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning for the next few days. The warning has also been issued in Assam's neighbouring states including Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
