Three Accused in Assam’s Online Trading Scam Granted Bail, Sumi Borah Still In Custody 

 

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court has granted bail to three key accused in the multi-crore online trading scam that has shaken Assam.

Tarkik Borah, arrested on September 12, 2024, after a 10-day pursuit by Dibrugarh Police has been granted bail on Tuesday  Two other principal accused, Bishal Phukan and Sapnanil Das have been granted on Tuesday.


Meanwhile, Sumi Borah, Tarkik’s wife and co-accused in the scam, remains in custody. Her bail plea was rejected by a CBI court on November 14, with investigations into her role in the financial fraud still ongoing. 

Speaking to GPlus, a source from the Gauhati High Court confirmed that bail had been granted to three of the accused on Tuesday."
