GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam, apprehended Sushanta Nath, Head Teacher of 1148 Azad LP School in Bagirkhola, Sribhumi on December 11.

Nath was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe from a complainant near the immersion ghat in Sribhumi.
The bribe was reportedly solicited to facilitate the complainant's Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPS) work. The authorities laid a trap and nabbed Nath while he was in the act.
Authorities have taken Nath into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
