GUWAHATI: At a full-court meeting on Tuesday, April 1, the judges of the Supreme Court agreed to make their asset declarations publicly available. The decision was taken following reports of alleged cash being discovered at the official premises of Justice Yashwant Varma during his tenure as a judge of the Delhi High Court.

The judges decided to disclose their assets to the Chief Justice of India, with the declarations set to be uploaded on the Supreme Court’s official website. The specific process for publishing the asset details will be finalised in due course.
At present, all Supreme Court judges have submitted their asset declarations, but these have not yet been made public.
