GUWAHATI: Gauhati University is struggling with major disruptions in power and water supply following Monday night's cyclonic storm. The severe weather caused extensive damage to the electrical lines, impacting essential services across the campus.
In an official notification, the Superintending Engineer of Gauhati University announced that the water supply for the evening shift will be unavailable on Tuesday due to the ongoing repair efforts. The statement assured that restoration work is being carried out urgently to fix the issues as soon as possible.

"We understand the inconvenience this causes and request everyone to bear with us as we work to restore the system," the engineer said.
The notification has been circulated to key university officials, including the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar, and all academic and administrative departments. Wardens of all hostels and residents on campus have also been informed.
