GUWAHATI: Spanish footballers Rodri and Aitana Bonmati won the prestigious Men and Women's Ballon d'Or award on October 28.

Rodri, the Manchester City midfielder, became the first player from the club to win the Ballon d’Or, while Barcelona footballer Aitana Bonmati won her second successive women’s Ballon d’Or after she helped her club win a quadruple of titles, along with the Nations League with Spain.
Meanwhile, the Kopa Trophy for best young player was won by Lamine Yamal, while the Yachine trophy was won by Emiliano Martinez.
Footballers Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe won the Gerd Mueller trophy for top scorer, while Emiliano Martinez won the Lev Yashin trophy for best goalkeeper. Footballer Jennifer Hermoso won the Socrates prize.
Carlo Ancelotti won the Johan Cruyff trophy for best men’s coach and Emma Hayes won the Johan Cruyff trophy for best women’s coach.
The Best Men’s Club of the Year award was won by Real Madrid, while Barcelona won the Best Women's Club of the Year award.
