GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Theatre Festival is back with its seventh edition, and with it, brings another micro event for all the people to show their creative side.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the festival is the Open Mic event, which will cover poetry, storytelling, shayaris, beatboxing, stand up comedy and any other form of art that you want to showcase.

This platform will play host to a variety of competitions offering participants a unique opportunity to share their talent with an engaged and appreciative audience.

Participants eager to take part in the Open Mic must fill out the nomination form and submit a link to a reference video of their performance. After submission, participants will receive further instructions regarding the event.

The Guwahati Theatre Festival is set to captivate audiences on September 27, 28 and 29, 2024, at Pragjyoti ITA, Machkhowa.

This year’s festival promises a vibrant celebration of contemporary theatre, featuring a diverse range of plays and events exploring themes of love, loss, resilience, and redemption.

This year three brilliant plays will be staged – “Puraane Chawal”, “Anything But Love” and “Hidden Agendas”, starring Kumud Mishra, Mandira Bedi, Samir Soni and many more.
