GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu launched the Shiksha Setu Axom portal at an event in Guwahati on Monday.
The portal will have every detail of the various schools and their staff and students of Assam.
Pegu further informed that starting Monday (April 24), the state will observe School Profile Updation Week, in which 360-degree information on schools will be uploaded to the portal.
The School Profile Updation Week will continue till April 30.
The Education Minister further requested the principals and the heads of elementary and secondary schools to upload the relevant details in the portal.
"With the launch of this portal, we are aiming to revamp the state's education sector," Pegu said while interacting with the media.
The profiling of the schools will consist- School category, management, address, SMC contact details, Headmaster contact details, SMC bank details, nearest institution details, legislative assembly, parliamentary constituency, GPS location, school photograph, and land details.
School Master of UDISE+ will be used in the Siksha Setu Axom Portal.
