The heist, which took place on Monday, March 10, at the Gopali Chowk branch in the Arrah police station area, was captured on the showroom’s CCTV cameras.

According to showroom manager Kumar Mrityunjay, the robbers reportedly took gold chains, necklaces, bangles, and some diamonds, in addition to cash. He also alleged that the police did not respond to the showroom’s call for help immediately.

“This is a serious lapse by the authorities,” Kumar reportedly said. “The robbery happened in the morning, not at night. We repeatedly tried to contact the police, but there was no response.”

The robbers, reportedly a group of eight to nine individuals, forcibly entered the showroom, threatened the guards and employees, and took valuables from the counter. CCTV footage show them wielding weapons and intimidating those present before looting the store.

Two showroom executives also sustained injuries after being struck on the head with revolvers by the robbers.

A case has been registered, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
