Assam announced a series of initiatives, spanning infrastructure, healthcare, and education in Dima Hasao.
The plans include:
• An investment of ₹4000 crore which has been allocated for the construction of new roads that are poised to improve connectivity and accessibility in Dima Hasao.
• Ration cards which will be issued to every household within the next three months, ensuring that families have access to essential commodities. Additionally, the implementation of the Orunodoi scheme will bring financial assistance to every family in Dima Hasao, providing crucial support.
• A new hospital is slated to be established, bolstering healthcare infrastructure in the region and addressing the growing healthcare needs of the community.
• Every member of self-help groups in Dima Hasao is set to receive ₹10,000.
• College and university-going students will receive ₹10,000 each to facilitate the purchase of books, while every college-going girl student will be provided with a scooty, a move intended to promote and ease access to education for young women.
