GUWAHATI: The examinations of the SEBA HSLC MIL/English (IL) subjects, originally scheduled for March 18, will now be held on April 1, 2023.
The examinations were postponed after reports of a paper leak emerged on Thursday.
In a notification issued on Friday, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) said, "This is to notify all concerned that in view of the ongoing police investigation regarding the leakage of the question paper of the HSLC Examination 2023 and in order to avoid holding the examination of MIL subjects in a compromised situation, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam has decided to reschedule the examination of MIL/English (IL) subjects earlier to be held on March 18, 2023."
"The examination of MIL/English (IL) subjects will now be held on April 1, 2023, from 9:00 AM onwards in all the centres of the state of Assam," the notification added.
It may be mentioned here that SEBA on Sunday cancelled the general science paper, which was scheduled for March 13.
A CID probe has been initiated to investigate the entire paper leak incident.
