GUWAHATI: Assam took on Maharashtra today, January 3, 2022, in the ongoing Ranji Trophy in their Group match hosted at the DY Patil Academy Sports Avenue, Ambi in Maharashtra.

At stumps on Day 1, Wicketkeeper-Captain Kunal Saikia-led Assam posted as many as 272 runs for the loss of 9 wickets against Maharashtra in 87 overs.
