Rain & Thunderstorm Predicted In Northeast Due To Cyclone

 

GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted likelihood of rain and thunderstorm in most Northeastern states in the next few days due to cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal.

In a special weather bulletin released today, the IMD stated that parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall, while several isolated places will receive thunderstorm and lightning between March 30 and April 2.

The IMD has also warned that the bad weather may lead to poor visibility and waterlogging.

Guwahati has been witnessing several rainy days this past week, providing a respite to citizens from the heat and dust plaguing the city since the beginning of March.
