GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police STF arrested a drug peddler and seized illicit narcotics during a raid near Lalmati Forest Road under Basistha Police Station on Friday, September 27.

The arrested person has been identified as 25-year-old Gourob Mandal. A scooty (AS 01 EV 1341) was also seized during the operation. The raid recovered 74 vials containing 86 grams of suspected heroin. Among other things, one mobile phone has been recovered from the spot.
