GUWAHATI: A team from Noonmati Police Station in Guwahati uncovered a petroleum oil lubricants (POL) pilferage racket during a raid at Sector 3, IOCL Marketing Yard on Thursday, December 12.

The operation led to the arrest of two individuals, identified as Birinchi Kumar Das and Ganesh Barman.
Guwahati police seized 600 litres of petroleum products, valued at ₹54,000, stored in 15 drums of 40 litres each. A vehicle bearing registration number AS01EC1305 was also confiscated.
Further investigation is underway.
