Parul University has organised Tech Expo 2025 from Friday, February 7, providing a platform for students to present their innovations across multiple disciplines. The two-day event will witness the participation of final-year degree and diploma students from fields such as engineering, applied sciences, computer applications, and agriculture.

This year’s edition will be attended by Narasimha Komar, IPS & Commissioner of Police, Vadodara City, as the Chief Guest. The exhibition has been expected to draw over 1,500 participants from universities and schools across Gujarat and beyond. A total of 370 projects will be showcased, highlighting cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges.

Among the key highlights of the event is the Automotive Waste Heat Recovery System, which converts excess engine heat into electrical energy using the Seebeck effect. Another project, Baaz, is a next-generation drone equipped with thermal imaging, infrared cameras, and night vision, designed for security, search and rescue, and military applications.

In the domain of sustainability, students have developed a Real-Time Water Quality Monitoring and Leakage Detection System using IoT technology to detect and report anomalies in water quality and distribution. The Muscle Cramp Guardian, a wearable device, will also be featured, integrating flex sensors and Bluetooth technology to detect and warn users of potential cramps.

Tech Expo 2025 will also showcase assistive technologies, such as the Smart Blind Stick, which uses ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection and moisture sensors to warn users about water hazards. In food technology, students have created Millet-Enriched Chocolate Protein Bars, combining amaranth, nuts, dates, and figs to provide a nutrient-rich alternative to commercial snack bars.

Innovations in automotive and security technology will also take centre stage. The Motorcycle Anti-Theft & Crash Response System employs GPS, GSM, and an accelerometer-based crash detection mechanism, allowing real-time tracking and remote vehicle immobilisation. Meanwhile, VENOM (Vector Enhanced Neutralization and Ordnance Manipulation), a robotic bomb disposal arm, features five degrees of freedom and motion-capture technology, enhancing operator safety in hazardous environments.

Tech Expo 2025 has been initiated to offer practical exposure to students by allowing them to engage with industry professionals and academic experts. Over 20 guests will provide expert advice, helping participants refine their innovations to meet industry standards.

The event will provide networking opportunities for students, experts, and professionals, and will also serve as a hub for technological ingenuity.
