Over ₹3000 Crore Worth Palasbari-Sualkuchi 4-Lane Bridge To Be Built Over Brahmaputra

 

GUWAHATI: Assam has announced the upcoming construction of the Palasbari-Sualkuchi 4-Lane Bridge over the Brahmaputra River. 

This ₹3,197.20 crore infrastructure project aims to make connectivity stronger by linking crucial junctions on the North and South banks of the river, establishing a vital channel for enhanced connectivity in the region.

The Palasbari-Sualkuchi bridge is set to play a pivotal role in facilitating smoother travel and transportation, addressing longstanding connectivity challenges. 

The bridge, with a total length of 12.21 km, will connect the North and South banks at Palasbari and Sualkuchi.

The comprehensive project includes a 5.384 km South Approach Road, a 3.226 km North Approach Road, and a main bridge spanning 3.6 km. 

Preliminary work on the Palasbari-Sualkuchi 4-Lane Bridge is progressing at a good pace as of now, as stated by the Chief Minister of Assam.
