GUWAHATI: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar has announced that people who are over 85 years of age will be able to vote from home.
Along with this, people with 40% Physical Disability will also be able to cast their votes from home.

The CEC further informed that ahead of election, form 12D will be send out to the people over 85 years old and people with disability.
The CEC made this announcement in the press conference currently ongoing at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

A total of 96.8 crore voters are currently registered in the electoral roll, the Election Commission of India Chief revealed in the press conference today.
The election dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are expected to be announced shortly, along with the election dates of several state legislative assembly elections.
