GUWAHATI: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has taken a step by actively engaging children across various States and Union Territories (UTs) in focused awareness drives addressing their health issues to promote a healthier future for children.
According to official reports, since the initiation of the yatra, over 57,000 children have actively participated in the 'Swasth Balak Spardha' (Healthy Child Competition). 50% of the participants in this initiative are women in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra making it gender inclusive.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD) is also playing a role in supporting the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra across the country.
As part of this effort, MoWCD is actively participating in the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani (MKMZ)” initiative. Under MKMZ, beneficiaries from each Gram Panchayat share their personal experiences, shedding light on the positive impact that Anganwadi Services have had on their lives. This involvement underscores the holistic approach of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, aiming not only at physical well-being but also at empowering individuals and communities.
