GUWAHATI: As per the press release of the NorthEast Frontier Railway, the services of passenger trains which had been cancelled earlier or were partially cancelled are being extended.
Due to the extensive damage as a result of heavy rain to railway tracks in the entire Lumding – Badarpur hill section, more than 60 locations have been affected. Railway authorities have managed to restore the section and the operation of freight trains has begun, to avoid scarcity of essential commodities and other materials in the cut-off areas. This will also help in stabilizing the newly laid track in the damaged portion.
The trains that remain cancelled in the region are the following:
Train number 15611 Guwahati – Silchar express, commencing its journey on July 16, 18 and 21, 2022 will remain cancelled between Guwahati and Silchar.
Train number 15612 Silchar - Guwahati express, commencing its journey on July 17, 20 and 22, 2022 will remain cancelled between Silchar and Guwahati.
Train number 15615 Guwahati – Silchar express and train number 15616 Silchar - Guwahati express commencing their journey from July 16 to 21, 2022 will remain cancelled between Guwahati and Silchar and Silchar and Guwahati respectively.
Train number 20501 Agartala – Anand Vihar Terminal Tejas Rajdhani express, commencing its journey on July 18, 2022 will remain cancelled between Agartala and Anand Vihar Terminal.
Train number 20502 Anand Vihar Terminal - Agartala Tejas Rajdhani express, commencing its journey on July 20, 2022 will remain cancelled between Anand Vihar Terminal and Agartala.
Train number 15641 Silchar – New Tinsukia Barak Brahmaputra express, commencing its journey on July 16, 2022 will remain cancelled between Silchar and New Tinsukia.
Train number 15642 New Tinsukia - Silchar Barak Brahmaputra express, commencing its journey on July 17, 2022 will remain cancelled between New Tinsukia and Silchar.
Train number 12504 Agartala - Bangalore Cant express, commencing its journey on July 16, 23 and 30, 2022 will remain cancelled between Agartala and Bangalore Cant.
Train number 12503 Bangalore Cant - Agartala express, commencing its journey on July 19, 26 and August 2, 2022 will remain cancelled between Bangalore Cant and Agartala.
Train number 15626 Agartala - Deoghar express, commencing its journey on July 16, 2022 will remain cancelled between Agartala and Deoghar.
Train number 15625 Deoghar - Agartala express, commencing its journey on July 18, 2022 will remain cancelled between Deoghar and Agartala.

Train number 14038 New Delhi - Silchar express, commencing its journey on July 21, 2022 will remain cancelled between New Delhi and Silchar.
