GUWAHATI: Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Ashok Singhal on Thursday, November 18, stated that new traffic lights with Artificial Intelligence (AI) are set to come up in Guwahati. 102 designated places with automatic traffic light systems will be backed by AI across the city.
As proposed in the new system, traffic violators will be monitored by the AI system and will receive a challan via an SMS.
The Minister also talked about improving the flood situation in Guwahati ahead of the next monsoon season.
Ashok Singhal further laid the foundation stone of a park near Borsola Beel of Paltan Bazar area of Guwahati.
