GUWAHATI: Netflix has launched a mobile-only plan in India for Rs. 199 per month to bring a personalised experience to smartphone users in India.
This plan goes live today, July 24 and supports only one screen, and supports only one screen with SD streaming.
The streaming service has revealed that India has the biggest smartphone user base globally.
This plan is currently available only in India.
With this low-cost plan, the video streaming service Netflix wants to compete with other streaming services such as Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, ALT Balaji, Zee5 among others.
Up until now, Netflix had three plans- Rs 499/month, Rs 649/month and Rs 799/month.
