GUWAHATI: Bollywood's celebrated and one of the most accomplished actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui's elder brother Ayazuddin was arrested, as per reports.

On May 22, Ayazuddin was apprehended by Budhana police in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on suspicion of forgery.
Media reports indicate that Ayazuddin allegedly submitted a forged order letter from the District Magistrate court in December to the consolidation department's office, along with an application related to a farming land dispute with Javed Iqbal.
The letter was later confirmed to be forged. In March 2024, the District Magistrate filed a complaint, leading to a case reportedly against Ayazuddin and Javed under sections 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.
This is not Ayazuddin's first controversy; in 2018, he faced legal action for allegedly posting an offensive image on social media, offending religious sentiments.
