GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Tuesday, February 25, signed 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with investors at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, securing investments worth ₹1,354.34 crore in the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary sector.

Manish Thakur, Principal Secretary of the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, signed the agreements in the presence of Secretary Abhijit Barua, Director Anil Chandra Deori, and Dairy Development Director Panchali Kakati.
The investments are particularly expected to boost employment opportunities, strengthen infrastructure, and enhance the livestock and dairy sectors. Officials highlighted that these projects would drive economic growth while improving Assam’s self-sufficiency in dairy and animal husbandry.
The Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit has been held to transform Assam into a key investment hub by fostering a business-friendly environment and attracting national and international stakeholders. The latest MoUs were signed with leading companies, including Subhiksha Feeds & Farms Pvt Ltd., CPF India Pvt. Ltd., SS Poultries, and AMUL Dairy, among others.
