GUWAHATI: In yet another robbery case in the city, Rs. 25 lakhs have been looted from bank employees in Panbazar on 16 January.
According to report the money was being transferred from IDBI bank to Apex Bank in a motorbike, when they were looted by unidentified criminals.
The employees carring the money had been identified as Cashier-in-Charge of Apex Bank, Rinku Dutta and clerk of the Cash Department of the same bank, Ramesh Das.
A police investigation into the matter is under way. Both employees are presently being interrogated at the Panbazar Police Station.
