Assamese Film 'Mini' Screened At Rashtrapati Bhavan

GUWAHATI: Assamese film 'Mini' was screened at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on April 1. The historic screening was graced by President Droupadi Murmu, along with the cast and crew of the film. 
It marked a prestigious moment for Assam, and owing to this producer Pankaj Mahanta expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal for the film’s successful screening. He revealed that President Murmu was deeply moved by the film's storyline and portrayal.

'Mini' depicts the poignant narrative of tea garden workers in Assam, shedding light on their struggles and challenges against the backdrop of the state's verdant tea gardens. The film poignantly portrays the hardships faced by these workers, including their fight for basic human rights such as education and land rights.

The journey of 'Mini' to the Rashtrapati Bhavan follows its trailer announcement at a prestigious event in Mumbai, orchestrated by renowned filmmaker Arunjit Borah. Coinciding with the 200th anniversary celebrations of the Assam tea industry, 'Mini' has garnered widespread attention for its depiction of the region's rich cultural heritage and societal issues.
