GUWAHATI: A truck driver was subjected to torture after being summoned at the Panchgram police station in Hailakandi on Thursday, November 28.

Following the allegations, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Dilwar Hussain Laskar and the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the station, Kalpajyoti Borah, have been suspended.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Hailakandi police station confirmed the incident, stating, "A truck driver was summoned to the Panchgram police station, where he was allegedly tortured. Both ASI Laskar and OC Borah have been suspended, and an investigation is ongoing."
Police are investigating the matter.
