GUWAHATI: A person from Costa Rica was apprehended on Monday afternoon for attempted robbery from an office in the Khanapara area.
The arrested youth has been identified as Chris and was apprehended by residents in the Khanapara area while trying to break into an office.
He was later handed over to Dispur police, who arrived at the scene upon being informed.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Dispur Police Station stated, "The residents collectively grabbed him and we were informed. The incident took place at around 1:30 PM."
Moreover, the police also seized a small amount of illicit drugs in his possession. The accused is in custody at present.
