GUWAHATI: In the joint efforts of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and Assam Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (APDCL), arrangements are made to link the holding numbers of the property owners with the consumer numbers of APDCL.
If the GMC holding numbers of properties are not linked with the APDCL consumer number and the GMC tax is not paid, the electricity connection of the consumers will be disconnected.
Here’s how to complete the entire process with a few simple steps.
To generate a GMC Holding number follow the steps:
Visit www.gmcpropertytax.com
Click on ‘Click Here To Generate Your Holding No.’
You will be redirected to a new page for the Self-Assessment application form.
Once verified and submitted with all the necessary details and measurements by the applicant, the page will be redirected to a page which displays Tax Information.
After submitting or confirming the tax details, it will be redirected to a page where you will get the option to pay the calculated taxes
After confirming bill details, the page will be redirected to the payment gateway page to make the necessary final payment
After successful payment, a payment reference number will be generated
You may click on the ‘Download Money Receipt’ to keep it in your record
To link your GMC holding number to your APDCL consumer number, here are the following steps:
Visit www.gmcpropertytax.com and click on ‘Click here to link to your APDCL Consumer No.’
Provide your APDCL Consumer number
The page will be redirected to the Holding Number and Assessment ID Update for your GMC area.
Add your Assessment ID number to verify. You can check the option ‘Click here to check your Assessment ID’ to find yours
You can also link your Consumer number to your Holding number through www.apdcl.org or myBijulee App
To pay your GMC Property Tax, follow the simple steps:
Visit www.gmcpropertytax.com and click on ‘Click here to pay your Property Tax’
Provide the holding number. All the corresponding data will be fetched after providing the number
You can select which quarter to pay or select all unpaid quarters at once
After clicking ‘Pay Now’ the final bill will be displayed confirming which the page will be redirected to the payment gateway.
After successful payment, a payment reference number will be generated
You may click on the ‘Download Money Receipt’ to keep it in your record
Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has introduced a special waiver scheme on property tax. Exemptions of 50% have been granted for taxpayers whose taxes were unpaid prior to the financial year 2020-21. The offer is valid only till December 20.
