GUWAHATI: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) of Kamrup Metropolitan District issued a public notice on August 9, seeking suggestions and inputs from citizens to combat severe water logging in various parts of Guwahati City.

The Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of Assam, has formed a Technical Committee to examine the suggestions received from the public which will provide a broader perspective for formulating effective solutions to the perineal problem of water logging in and around Guwahati.
In this connection, citizens have been encouraged to send their inputs/suggestions via email to suggestionfloodmitigation@gmail.com by August 24.
