ISRO's Aditya L1 Executes Second Earth-Bound Maneuver with Success

GUWAHATI: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) reported a significant milestone in India's inaugural solar mission, the Aditya L1 spacecraft wherein the spacecraft triumphantly completed its second earth-bound manoeuvre on Tuesday.

ISRO took to Twitter to put out, “Aditya-L1 Mission: The second Earth-bound manoeuvre (EBN#2) is performed successfully from ISTRAC, Bengaluru. ISTRAC/ISRO's ground stations at Mauritius, Bengaluru and Port Blair tracked the satellite during this operation. The new orbit attained is 282 km x 40225 km.”

ISRO also revealed that the upcoming manoeuvre, known as EBN#3, is scheduled for September 10th, set to take place at approximately 2:30 AM. Notably, a total of five such orbital adjustments are planned during the satellite's journey around Earth. The Aditya L1 spacecraft has now settled into its new orbit, positioned at 282 kilometers by 40,225 kilometers above our planet.
