India Witnesses Largest Single-day Jump, 63 Cases Reported on Friday

GUWAHATI: On Friday March 20, India witnessed the largest single-day jump in the Coronavirus outbreak with 63 reported cases. 

Total number of Coronavirus cases in the country jumped past 230 with four deaths so far.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on March 19, addressed the nation on Covid-19 and declared ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22.

The Health Ministry has also urged the citizens to follow PM Modi's curfew call. 
The centre has shut borders to international flights and suspended incoming visas.
Most of the states in India, including Assam, have gone into a partial lockdown phase and has shut down schools, gyms, public pools, theatres, malls. Some have even shut pubs and restaurants.

Everyone has been advised to regularly wash hands, wear masks if one show symptoms of Covid-19 but what is most important for India right now is social distancing. We needs to avoid large gatherings so that we could plummet ourselves into the next phase of community transmission.
