GUWAHATI: The Instagram accounts of several Pakistani actors, including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas, and Sajal Aly, have been blocked in India.

Visitors to these accounts from India are greeted with the message: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content."
The move comes amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
Earlier, on April 28, India banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for allegedly sharing provocative, communally sensitive content and spreading misinformation about India, its Army, and security agencies.
The banned channels include prominent names like Dawn News, Samaa TV, GNN, and Geo News. Reports also suggest that a formal letter was issued to the BBC for referring to the perpetrators as "militants."
