GUWAHATI: The excitement for the October 2, T20 International cricket match between India and South Africa along with Durga Puja in Guwahati may be at risk as the Meteorological Department releases its latest forecast on September 28.
As per the Meteorological Department, the forecast shows that the weather of Guwahati will have a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of the development of thunder and lightning for the next 7 days.
Guwahati sky is predicted to be covered with partly cloudy sky with the possibility of development of thunder, lightning and thunderstorms during the four days of Durga puja.
A scientist of the Meteorological Department while talking to G Plus said, "Moisture incursion is likely to enhance over the region because of the movement of south-west winds from the Bay of Bengal. Light to moderate rain is expected in many parts of northeast India. There is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places between next Thursday and Sunday."
