GUWAHATI: A professor from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati was found dead in his room on Friday night, December 9.
As per reports, the deceased, a professor of the Department of Mathematics was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room.

As per an official release issued by IIT Guwahati, the institute has been trying to establish contact with the family of the deceased.
“The body of a man was found in one of the residences at IIT Guwahati this evening. It has been identified as a faculty of the institute. The institute is trying to establish contact with the family of the deceased,” stated the release.
