IIT-G students apprehended for molesting GU girls

In a horrifying incident that took place during 3rd February, the Alcheringa cultural festival night of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G) two students of the prestigious institution have been arrested on allegation of sexual harrasment against 3 girl students of Gauhati University (GU). Reportedly, the three girls were found in an unconscious state in IIT-G campus by a security guard during the morning hours of 4th February, after which they were immediately sent to the Narayana Superspeciality Hospital. The girls on Tuesday lodged an FIR against the two students, viz, Ajay Dey and Kunal Kumbhkar  (case number 14/17) under the North Guwahati Police Station. Allegedly, the victims were drugged by the two boys before the heinous crime. According to inside sources, the three girls of Gauhati University were friends with the IIT-G students, who tried to help them with accommodation for the night. Allegedly, in the process, they were somehow guided to a secluded spot near the Mechanical Dept, where they offered soft drinks that was supposedly spiked. Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
