Heroin Seized In Adabari, Four Apprehended

 

GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), Assam, seized suspected heroin at Adabari, and apprehended four of the individuals involved, on April 5.

The group of Dimapur-based peddlers were found to be operating from Brahmaputra Lodge at Adabari, supplying narcotics to areas such as Azara, Mirza, and other parts of South Kamrup.

Acting on reliable information, STF conducted a raid on Room No. 102 of the lodge, leading to the apprehension of four individuals and the seizure of a substantial quantity of contraband.

Upon searching the room, authorities uncovered 17 soapboxes containing packets of heroin concealed within a bag belonging to the accused. The seized narcotics weighed a total of 257 grams without packaging.

The raid yielded the discovery of four suspects, comprising of two males and two females.

Details of the accused individuals involved in the illicit operation are- Jadav Bhawal, aged 42, hailing from Karbi Anglong, Bhaswati Gowala, aged 45, also from Karbi Anglong, Priyanka Das, aged 30, from Nagaland and Deba Das, aged 19, from Karbi Anglong.

Necessary legal action against the apprehended suspects will be taken and further details await.
