GUWAHATI: The Regional Met Centre (RMC) Guwahati predicts cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thunder showers from Monday, May 16, to Friday, May 20.
The RMC in a forecast made on Monday, said that rains or thunderstorms are expected on May 21 (Saturday) and May 22 (Sunday) in Guwahati.
The minimum temperature from May 17 till May 22 will be at 23 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius.
Further, the RMC expects the following impacts for Guwahati city on May 16 and 17:
1.Visibility may become poor during the intense spell of rainfall.
2.Water logging in many parts of low lying areas.
3.Inundation of roads and streets
4.Disruption of traffic due to water logging in roads.
5.May cause localised and short term disruption to municipal services (water, electricity etc.)
6.May trigger landslides and landslip on the hills.
