GUWAHATI: Guwahati's markets are filled to the brim with various groceries and delicacies for Uruka and Bihu.
The fish markets of Guwahati, including Uzanbazar, Pandu, and Ulubari, are witnessing a rise in fish prices ahead of the Magh Bihu celebrations on Monday, January 13. As people gather to buy fish, meats, and other traditional delicacies, the demand for fish has surged, pushing prices to high levels. Similarly, other delicacies are also in high demand such as chicken, mutton, duck, sunga, etc. Mejis of various sizes have also been sold and bhela-ghors have been made around town, in preparation for Uruka tonight.
