GUWAHATI: The Assam Special Task Force (STF) arrested two drug peddlers in a raid at Tengakhal, Patorkuchi, under Basistha Police Station on the afternoon of Thursday, September 12. Acting on source information, the operation led to the seizure of heroin, ganja, mobile phones, and cash.

The items recovered included eight soap boxes containing 102 grams of heroin, 2.579 kilograms of ganja, two mobile phones, and ₹270 in cash.
The arrested individuals are Kamalchan Mayong (52), from Jonai, Dhemaji, and Pinki Deb Nath (25) from Lumding, Hojai.
The two suspects have been taken into custody by the STF and local police.
