This international tournament, hosted by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) in collaboration with the Badminton Federation of India (BFI), marks its second consecutive year in Assam. The event will feature 461 shuttlers from 23 countries, an increase from last year's 317 players from 20 nations. The competition offers a total prize purse of USD 1 lakh and will showcase matches across men's and women's singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories.

The qualifying rounds are scheduled for December 3 and 4, with the main event commencing on December 5. The tournament concludes on December 8, drawing significant global attention, especially with the participation of top-ranked players preparing for international events.

Athletes from powerhouse nations such as China, Japan, England, and Malaysia will compete alongside players from lesser-represented countries, including Mauritius, Bahrain, and Azerbaijan. Notably, Assamese shuttlers will participate in the qualifying rounds, adding a local flavour to the international contest.

With 130 technical officers overseeing the games, the event promises to maintain world-class standards. This year's expanded participation highlights the growing significance of the Guwahati Masters on the global badminton calendar.
