GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that Guwahati will be the proud host of the Khelo India University Games scheduled for February next year. Anticipated as a grand sporting spectacle, the event is expected to witness the participation of over 200 universities, bringing together more than 4,000 athletes from across the nation.
The Khelo India University Games will showcase talent in a diverse range of sports, encompassing 13 different disciplines. This large-scale sporting extravaganza is set to create a platform for aspiring athletes to exhibit their skills and compete at the university level.
Taking to X, CM Sarma posted, “Guwahati is all set to host the Khelo India University Games in February next year. Over 200 Universities comprising 4,000 plus athletes are expected to participate in the gala event.”
