GUWAHATI: The final East Zone round of the Federation of Motorsports Clubs in India (FMSCI) Indian National Rally Sprint Championship (INRSC) for two-wheelers is set to take place tomorrow, November 24, at the PRP Valley near Guwahati. Known as The NEMA Guwahati Sprint Rally, the event will challenge riders with its hilly terrain, steep inclines, and sudden dips, offering a test of skill and endurance.

Situated 60 kilometres outside Guwahati, PRP Valley, surrounded by rubber plantations, is expected to attract around 80 participants from across Northeast India. The rally marks the concluding qualifying round for the INRSC-2W, with riders competing for spots in the national championship.
Notable contenders include Hansraj Saikia, Banteilang Jyrwa, Paomin Vaiphei, Madhurjya Jyoti Rabha, Siddhartha Saikia, Kaustav Kalita, Jayden W, and Darren Kharkonghar. Additionally, a separate Sprint Support Rally, featuring eight categories for local youth, will provide young riders with the chance to experience competitive rallying.
Farad Bhathena, Promoter of the INRSC, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to bring the championship to the Northeast, especially to Guwahati, a hub for motorsport enthusiasts. The challenging terrain of PRP Valley promises an exciting experience for the riders, and the involvement of local youth through the Sprint Support Rally fosters a stronger connection to the sport.”
The rally is being organised by FB Motorsports in collaboration with the North Eastern Motorsports Association (NEMA), a prominent promoter of motorsports in the region since 1993. NEMA has a legacy of organising events such as Dirt Track, Motocross, Rallying, and Hill Climbs.
“This is a crucial round for all of us,” said Hansraj Saikia, one of the leading competitors. “The terrain here is a real test of skill, making it one of the most exciting events of the season.”
The season will culminate with the INRSC-2W final in Pune on December 14-15, where top riders from all zones will compete for the coveted national title.
