Guwahati Set To Host State-Level Games Of Khel Maharan 2.0 In April

 

GUWAHATI: The state-level competition of Khel Maharan 2.0 is set to take place in Guwahati from April 2 to 6. The development was announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday, March 25.

A total of 7,098 athletes will participate in the event, which will be held across multiple venues, including Sarusajai, Nehru Stadium, SAI, and LNIPE.

Competitions will be held in athletics, football, volleyball, swimming, kabaddi, cycling, and chess among several other disciplines. The event will see athletes compete for top honours in their respective categories as they strive to showcase their talent at the state level.

Khel Maharan 2.0 is part of Assam’s efforts to promote sports and identify emerging talent from across the state. The competition has been prioritised by the state government as a dependable platform to identify young athletes, to help them gain exposure and to further their sporting careers.
