GUWAHATI: Gauhati Town Club (GTC) defeated Oil India FC in the 10th match of the Guwahati Premier Football League (GPFL) with a final score of 1-0 at Judges' Field on December 18.
The lone goal of the match came in the 37th minute, courtesy of a penalty kick converted by Anupam Borgohain. Borgohain showcased precision and composure, securing a crucial lead for his team.
The outstanding performer of the match was Srinivas Singh from GTC, earning him the title of Player of the Match. His exceptional skills on the field did not go unnoticed, and he was awarded a trophy and a cash award of ₹2100, presented by Paresh Chandra Das, the President of Guwahati Sports Association.
Looking ahead, the football fervour continues with the upcoming matches on December 19 at Judges' Field, Guwahati. The first clash features GPlus Athletic versus Deka Bricks Industries (DBI), with the kick-off scheduled for 2:45 PM. In the second match of the day, Young Amateur Club (YAC) will face off against Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) at 5 PM.
