A massive fire broke out at the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Guwahati on Friday, February 5.
The fire occurred in the Radiologist department of GMCH at around 12:20 PM. One fire tender reached the spot and the fire was doused by 1:16 PM with the use of extinguisher and installed fire-fighting equipments,” Jayshree Khersa, APS, Deputy Director (F&ES) Assam informed G Plus.

The fire is suspected to be caused by computer power line and damage has been caused in a computer set and some paper documents.
Reportedly, the Superintendent of GMCH has directed to investigate the whole incident.
