GUWAHATI: Ideate 2023, the prestigious start-up mini cohort organized by IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation concluded on August 5 at IIT Guwahati. The event was powered by IDFC First Bank.
The event marked the culmination of a transformative journey for 22 innovative start-ups, who showcased their groundbreaking ideas, with three exceptional ventures emerging as winners in the Idea, POC, and MVP stages.
The champions of Ideate 2023 in their specific categories were Agrijod, Pekhansa and Drones Tech Lab.
The start-up Agrijod, pioneering as an aggregator for Agricultural inputs in Northeast India was awarded the Idea Stage Winner.
Pekhansa, aims to deliver hygienic and customised variants of panipuri by automating the concept of delivering it through a Panipuri vending machine and was awarded the POC Stage Winner.
And the MVP Stage Winner went to Drones Tech Lab for their groundbreaking drone technology developed for the Indian Army.
The event was graced by prominent personalities from the startup ecosystem in Guwahati, who lent their valuable insights and encouragement to the participants. The event was moderated by Satyam Sarma, Operating Officer of IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation and was chaired by Prof. G. Krishnamoorthy, Vice Chairperson IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation.
Other guests present at the event were Samir Baruah Banking Expert and Gitima Das Krishna from Invest India, Sunit Jain from G Plus Media, Chaitanya Subhnaam from IDFC First Bank, Jitesh Choudhury, Director-DAC- GOI.
Ideate 2023 offered a learning opportunity for start-ups through the mentorship provided by the members of the startup ecosystem including Nabaneet Borah, Neeti Agarwal, NN Dutta, Rajeev Goswami, Supratik Roy, Dr Swapnil Sinha, and Arijit Sarma.
The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment and optimism for the future. The IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation and IDFC First Bank reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing the startup community and promised to continue supporting initiatives that foster innovation and entrepreneurship in India.
