GUWAHATI: "Guwahati has formally entered the pandemic 10 days back, and situation is going to be more critical," said health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press conference on 5th July.
In the last 7 days Kamrup (M) has recorded 2741 positive cases. Also 125 positive cases have been found positive by rapid testing since today morning.

He informed that 81,979 samples have been tested in Guwahati alone under the community survillance program. The program had aimed to screen 50,000 samples in the city.
Sarma mentioned that all funds collected by donation in the Assam Aryogya Nidhi Fund has not yet been used.
