GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Water Supply Project, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), opened registrations for residents in 7 new District Metered Areas (DMAs) on February 29, to ensure supply of drinking water.
The areas of the city are DownTown area, Dwarika Nagar, Chachal area, Upper Chachal area, Junaki Path/Rupkonwar Path, Fancy Bazar/Machkhowa, and BK Kakati Road/Rehabari.

Citizens residing in these areas have been urged to apply for the hassle-free delivery of potable water directly to their homes. To register for the water connection, interested citizens can visit the website www.gmdwsb.in or download the GJB mobile app available on Google Play Store.
Guwahati Jal Board (GJB) took to X to put out, “Citizens of the mentioned areas are requested to apply for a hassle-free delivery of clean and hygienic drinking water directly to your homes under the JICA assisted Guwahati Water Supply Project.”
