GUWAHATI: The District Library in Guwahati is set for a significant transformation with the launch of a ₹51 crore project aimed at upgrading the facility into a modern B+G+6 building.

The project will elevate the library into a multifunctional hub for readers and visitors alike. The revamped structure will boast four dedicated library floors, providing extensive space for a vast collection of books and reading materials. Additionally, three general study areas will be available, offering a conducive environment for students and researchers.
Complementing the library and study areas, the new building will feature a bookstore and a cafeteria, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
